A husband and wife team founded First Mate Yacht Detailing in 1991.

Liking the idea of working together, they managed to build a strong and successful boat detailing business.

First Mate has built a name for itself by steadily growing the business.

"We are able to operate with a small but efficient boat cleaning crew, provide high quality service, and because of this we have a strong customer base which we have serviced for many years".


We are also proud to announce that we are the Chicagoland Distributor for Sport Port, a drive on dock for your personal watercraft, wave runners and jet boats that you can keep in your slip for easy access.

We also install these units and provide storage.
